- Save recordings as .yvr, allowing you to utilise the Rockstar advanced vehicle playback system
- Debug playback for quick tests of the recorded path
- Simple in-game UI
Installation:
- Place all files from the mod in your scripts folder inside your GTAV root.
- Download CodeWalker, then copy and paste CodeWalker.Core.dll and SharpDX.Mathematics.dll from the downloaded CodeWalker folder into the scripts folder.

Exporting:
Use the Export button to export the recording as .xml and .yvr files. Files are saved in the directory specified in config.xml inside the scripts folder.

@Motherflippin' Hello! You need do ensure proper yvr format of nameIndex.yvr. Example: test001.yvr -Name test, index 1. Try that and reply what happened. Regarding multiple vehiches, that is in development. You could however export multiple YVRs and erite a simple mod to play them

@Motherflippin' If the UI cant open after an error, hot reload SHVDN with Insert key
Xoves 27 de Novembro de 2025 -
@Motherflippin' Cypher was hardcoded in the code, I will chnage it and update the mod tomorrow. Sorry about that.
Xoves 27 de Novembro de 2025 -
@AlexScript Thanks man, I did just retry and updated SHVDN, and tried the 2nd recording but I still get the same infinite loading :( I left the default names so record1.yvr & record2.yvr, so I put name: record; Index: 1 then 2 after reloading SHVDN but still same results :/ Both recordings are 58 & 59kb, I don't know what the issue might be but I will be following the evolution of this mod for sure!
I currently record my car scenes with Ghost Replay but I'm always looking for more ways to do precise scenes even simpler, and maybe in the long term you could add some cool options to help us video creators make things more controllable & make it easier to craft scenes 😁
Since I'm currently preparing a future movie with a lot of car action, I do have some ideas of such options if you are interested 😂Xoves 27 de Novembro de 2025 -
@Motherflippin' Please try to set index in openIV as 001. You may also open an issue on Github, I will look into it
Xoves 27 de Novembro de 2025 -
@Motherflippin' I will really appreciate it if you email me your exported files to alexscriptmods@gmail.com
Xoves 27 de Novembro de 2025 -
@AlexScript Thanks for the advice, I renamed the file in OpenIV to record001 instead of record1 and now it loads the path 😁I will test it out more when you upload that update, thanks 🙏
Xoves 27 de Novembro de 2025 -
@AlexScript Thanks for the update! I tested it out a bit and it works as intended I think! Of course I can't wait for multiple vehicle managing 😜
One issue : The vehicle seems to jump and be slightly glitchy, probably because it keeps readjusting? I sent you a couple videos on your Gmail.
One thing that will be extremely useful for me is that you let the cars continue with their motion/ velocity speed at the end of the playback. That's precisely one of the feature ideas I wanted to tell you about 😂 I need this to plan perfect crashes yet still have damage and believable physics when multiple vehicles collide. So please don't change that 😂 Or you could make it an option if needed.
Thanks for sharing this, can't wait to see where it goes :)Xoves 27 de Novembro de 2025 -
@Motherflippin' Thank you for the review. I am aware of the issue with readjustment and I am currently creating the fix. Regarding your feature idea, I will probably write you on your email to understand it better.

The end of the videos ended so quickly for some reason. Can you show it properly

Why didn't you credit the code from RecM for FiveM you took this from? I don't mind that you did, but not crediting me is wild.

@QuadrupleTurbo Thank you for reaching out. The project "VehicleStar" by AlexScriptMods does not use, incorporate, or derive from any code from your project in any manner. All code, except for the portions credited to CodeWalker, has been independently developed by AlexScriptMods.

@AlexScript it literally has my comments on your code, you have to be kidding me
Venres 26 de Decembro de 2025 -
@QuadrupleTurbo I understand that there may be some confusion regarding this matter. If you believe any material from your project has been used, please provide specific details identifying the alleged content in question. You may correspond with me directly via email at alexscriptmods@gmail.com

Hello is it any way you can fix the twitchy and glitchyness on YVR playback? is it possible for it to move as smooth as rockstar's YVR playbacks?
Xoves 5 de Marzo de 2026 -
@zarkzz Make sure your file is in the original export directory, do not change the file name.
Xoves 5 de Marzo de 2026 -
@RotohNap24 Hi. I am working on a fix, but it will take some time. Maybe offset the vehicle's Z a little bit over the ground to avoid it.
