No Kill, Just Wound


This will make your enemy writhe in pain for several seconds if you hit them with certain damage. Enough to buy time for escape, especially useful for evading cops.

How It works:
There is 8 variations of combat@damage@... in vanilla so we cant predict what enemy moves when hit. They may go down, or still rushing in 8 different ways. i simply make them all 8 animations to play 1 animation so we not forced to kill for "easy" solution.

In video 0.09 - 0.12 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=txCPe95v-dM&feature=youtu.be&t=9 you can see transition when the cop try to get up but then forced down again. That only visible rarely and when i zoom in closeup, dont look that obvious in normal gameplay.

They still can shoot in writhe position but way less accurate, and mostly using hand gun (in rare occasion Swat use Rifle or SMG while bleedout).

Shoot them leg watch them fall down and flee. Then pretend you`re not a mass murdering maniac. :)

Requirements OpenIV


Start OpenIV,
activate edit mode, open x64c.rpf \ anim \ ingame \ clip_combat@.rpf - copy the files - rebuild. DONE

A backup of original file is included, make backup as always.
