This handling mod is ment to be used while driving in FPS mode !!!
What does this mod bring new to the game?
- reworked suspensions to simulate the car's feeling on the road
- reworked breaking system
- reworked traction on all axes, especially lateral / sideways.
- reworked acceleration / top speed and gear shifting to better simulation of driving in the city.
- reworked car velocity and aerodynamics.
Installation Instructions:
1. You need the car:
https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/mercedes-benz-s500-w222
2. If you want the interior to look like mine, you also need this:
https://www.gta5-mods.com/paintjobs/w222-brabus-ibusiness-styling.
For AddOn, you need to rename warrener.ytd included in this archive to
w222.ytd.
3. Install the car using the instructions you will find in the archive.
Then navigate to: update / x64 / dlcpacks / w222 / dlc.rpf / data
and replace handling.meta.
If you installed the car using the replace method, the location of the handling may differ for a lot of cars, but the principle of installing my handling remains largely the same. Extract the handling file for the car you replaced and replace the handling lines with the ones in my file.
Hello guys, first of all, you should know that this is a realistic handling mod for those who drive this car in FPS mode. I created this handling to give you the sense of control and true feeling of the car, NOT SPEED. Driving this car through the crowded city , alongside with other cars is just a beauty. You can control your car very easy without going to 100 km/h too fast.
Now, there is a reason I've set the car's max speed to 100 km/h. In my experience of editing handling for gtav, I've came to the conclusion that if you want 1st person driving in this game you cant go beyond lets say 120-130 (and thats a bit of stretch already). If you drive too fast in this game, you will not be able to get the true feeling of the car.
If you have any suggestions, leave it in the comments below.
Remember that this is ment for people that want to drive this car in the city having somehow a true feeling. It's not for people who want to fly off the map.
If you find this mod enjoyable, you can contact me and I can help you with any other cars, as long as you want them to be driven in FPS mode.

If you want to have my FOV in first person mode, go to:
update \ x64 \ dlcpacks \ w222 \dlc.rp f\ common \ data \l evels \ gta5
and extract vehicles.meta to your HDD. Look for this line and replace it with the values I post here:
<PovCameraOffset x="0.000000" y="-0.275000" z="0.570000" />
Great job, I can't thank you enough!
@VisualParadox
i'm happy that you like it. I tried to make this mod for the model you sent me link of, but that one didnt had such a good interior, so I made the decision on this one instead, since they are very very similar. Enjoy it.
@ValkyriePC Yes I am going to install this model and test it. Only reason I used the other one was because it is a smaller file size and I used to have problems with the game crashing when I had cars that were upwards of 15mb...even though I have a high-end pc. The crashing could have been completely unrelated, but it seemed to happen around the time I installed a few cars with such high file sizes.
@VisualParadox
Other people complained about this and I kept telling them over and over again. The problem with high poly models is 90% of the time related to the replace method. The add on method is much more reliable when it comes to large file car mods. As you can see, I also installed that beautiful HQ custom texture for the interior and I had no problems whatsoever with my FPS. I play with MSAA x2 + everything on very high or ultra (if the option exists) on a EVGA GTX 950 FTW edition. When possible, use add on cars. Replace them only as last resort.
@ValkyriePC Well is that ever good to know lol. Thank you for the tip!
@ValkyriePC
Hey bro, u can test my handling?
You can contact me here: https://fb.me/KrazyMonkeyModding
@Gregor Schill
Yes, I can do that. I just looked at the model and it looks really great. Im going to do a city-driving mod for that BMW, just like I did for the other cars.
@Gregor Schill
The mod is finished, video included, waiting for admin approval. Enjoy it.
I forgot to ask you, Is there a way to adjust the steering directly, or is it linked to the mass of the vehicle? I find the steering just a bit stiff. I will probably just start adjusting things in small increments and test it, although it will probably take me hours lol
@VisualParadox
It's linked but not that much. There are 3 values that affect steering:
<fSteeringLock value=
<fTractionCurveMax value=
<fTractionCurveMin value=
<fTractionCurveLateral value=
And of course, the susspensions have a deciding part of the steering. If the susspension is not carefully adjusted, the car will roll over in tight turns or it can do the exact opposite (you will feel every bump in the road). When you send me a message, tag me in the comment so I get an alert, otherwise I might not see your comment. I looked at the thread by accident, otherwise I would completly miss your question. use @ValkyriePC
@ValkyriePC Great thank you! I thought I tagged you, but I guess not...glad you checked :)
