Version 2.0 makes major updates to the cars physics and performance for realism and also adds a custom street machine version with lots of extra power, a mean stance and a mean sounding idle.
Also included in this version are several texture improvements/fixes inside and underneath as well as a choice of mostly accurate black or white SS stripes with and without a blacked out tail panel and grille.
The misc. texture fixes include a deeper more realistic chrome texture on all chrome parts. The original chrome texture was sharing a texture with a coarse/grainy looking aluminum.
I made major improvements to the interior textures as they looked rather bad to start with. When cleaning things up I switched the carpet color from grey to black as I've never seen grey carpet standard in a Camaro this year.
I also changed the seat colors from the yellow houndstooth pattern to black. Although yellow was available black looks much better for all different body color combos.
I replaced the wood grain areas with standard black interior.
I switched the air cleaner decal from a random chick outline to the original Turbo Fire L48 350 air cleaner decal.
And I added a more accurate looking underside texture with a proper "Chevy Engine Red" colored engine and exhaust that matches the exhaust tip location.

Version 1.5 changes the power level from crank horsepower to wheel horsepower, this means more accurate speeds and acceleration as well as a more realistic and more noticeable difference between automatic and manual transmissions. Also made a few other performance changes for increased realism.

Proper SS stripes coming soon, neophyte still hasn't fixed his liveries yet.

L48 350 V8
300-350 HP
140+ MPH
Choice of 3 speed auto or 4 speed manual each with realistic shift rates and gear ratios. Quarter mile times are in the low 14 to mid 13 second range.

L48 350 V8 "Street Machine"
475 HP
150+ MPH
Old school street machine stance with a low front and high rear. The engine has been upgraded with a much better camshaft, intake manifold, carburetor and exhaust system.
A lower axle ratio has also been installed for even more acceleration. Quarter mile times are in the low 12 to mid 11 second range.

A GM V8 may be one of the most common engines on the road, being kept in continuous production and development from the early 1950's to the present day and used in more types of vehicles than one could reasonably list. However the L48 350 available in the 69 Camaro SS is anything but an average street engine and sports many performance features that separate it from an everyday truck 350. The L48 350's compression ratio was upped from 8.5 to 10.25 and it was equipped with a Rochester Quadrajet 4 barrel carburetor, a hydraulic roller camshaft and high flow exhaust manifolds.
For insurance and liability purposes the L48 350 was mildly under rated at 300 Horsepower and 380 torque. Actual horsepower numbers are rumored to fluctuate between 350 and 400 depending on mileage and tuning variables. Even by todays standards the first generation Camaro is a relatively light car weighing in the 3300 pound range give or take depending on optional equipment. Despite that, handling for the 1st year (67) left a bit to be desired at the fault of very weak "single leaf" rear springs but this problem was solved quickly by beefing up the rear springs for the next year models.
The Camaro's handling improved so significantly from 1967 to 1969 that it had unintentionally surpassed the Corvette at the time in the departments of handling and stability which honestly wasn't saying a lot considering that 60's corvettes were not very stable/predictable in hard turns.
The 69 Camaro may be a good car for its age but don't expect too much out of it, you aren't going to be able to stop on a dime or make high speed precision corners with ease but it is a very powerful well rounded car so have fun and buckle up.

Not necessary but I strongly recommend using Inverse Power by IKT available on this site.

To get the rusty beater look from the screenshots just download ZIPPO RAIDS rust buckets mod here https://www.gta5-mods.com/paintjobs/raider-s-rust-buckets

You may use only one handling file at a time.

To install handling and sound you replace handling.meta and vehicles.meta in the data section of Neophyte's Camaro_ss dlc pack with one provided. To install the ytd fix and stripes you replace camaro_ss.ytd in X64/vehicles.rpf of the same dlc pack. I've also included a separate folder with the stripes on their own in case you want to switch liveries around.
