For The GTAV P-47
For P-47 in the ZF1 pack
In the 140 add on planes compilation, https://www.gta5-mods.com/vehicles/70-fighter-and-sports-planes-add-on
Once installed with their instructions, open the dlc.rpf with OpenIV
Follow this path to the file to overwrite:
...GTAV/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/ZF1/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf/p47.ytd
If you wish to retain the original livery, while in OpenIV, extract the file p47.ytd. I typically extract the original .ytd to the same folder as the dlc.rpf and rename it to orig_p47.ytd.
When ready to overwrite with one of the other P-47 liveries, toggle "Edit mode", top right button, and drag p47.ytd from the extracted zip file and drop here:
...GTAV/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/ZF1/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf/p47.ytd The Original Brazilian P-47 is in there as p-47, there are liveries for Chile (p-47Chile), Free French (p-47FreeFrench), Mexico (p-47Mexico), Peoples Liberation Army Air Force (p-47PLAAF), Portugal (p-47Portugal), Republic of China (P-47RepofChina) and Yugoslavia (P-47Yugoslavia).
I'd rename the original as p-47Brazil, then rename the desired livery from p-47Chile (for example) to p-47.
Just to confirm the livery, I'd click on the p47.yft or p47_hi.yft file to open the OpenIV Model Viewer to see what the model will look like with the new livery.
Once satisfied, close the model viewer and run GTAV and spawn p47 with the trainer of your choice.
I've also included my GIMP Files (.xcf file format) in case you'd like to use my paint as the basis for your own work.
Enjoy,
Gillman
