Description
I've always thought it would be a neat idea to have a drifting system in GTA 5 similar to what you might find in games like Need for Speed or GRID. So I went ahead and put this script together which allows you to build up a multiplier while drifting.
You can set high scores for any vehicle and it will be remembered in the driftstats.stat file. You can delete the file at any time to reset your scores.
You can expect most vehicles to work as expected but the drifting may not be perfect (yet) with some vehicles because of different handling. But this is a WIP and I am by no means finished!! :]
I will continue to release public updates for this mod as long as the community is interested!
(And as long as I am interested)
Hope you enjoy :]
Additional Requirements
Installation
1.0.4
- Decreased sensitivity for multiplier activation
- Further tweaks to drift assist
- Further performance improvements around reading/ writing to stats file
- Increased the difficulty for reaching the different tiers. First tier now requires at least x10000 multiplier
- Added a new tier, making a total of 6 tiers now
- Shuffled around and changed colours of some of the messages
- Other awesome stuff [:
1.0.3
- Added a multiplier in config file to adjust acceleration while drifting
- Fixed an issue causing a small drop in FPS while reading player stats
1.0.2-a

1.0.2

- Other fixes/ improvements

@SAEVARM3 change the DriftPhysics from false to true
DriftPhysics = true
like that
@Klaceyes ahhh thank you very much, it was true... had to set it to false and now it´s working like a charm... thanks again!
Is it possible to take out the message like "Drift King" "Insane!" and stuff like that?... I don´t wan´t replace it, just wan´t disable it, so annoying seeing those messages and getting some *BOOM* *BOOM* sound everytime.... I know I can disable sound but that only disable the point system sounds :/
why the fuck does it take me to 400mph when i start a drift :D?
@CamxxCore hello! this mod looks great. i downloaded all files, the game runs and i get the menu but no drifting ? is it some button to push when driving or am i missing some files ? thanks
@barsk1 The drifting physics aren't so great, honestly. It causes the player to accelerate too much. I might get around to fixing it one day but you are probably best to just disable it and use another mod that edits the handling files.
aah yeah i was expecting little bit more :D
Hey! How this mod can be installed? There is no readme or any help.. i really want this cool mod :)
Do you still work on this? I'd like to request some kind of total points system that displays all the points you've earned. Maybe make it so the user can clear it whenever wanted too. Still, very great mod. Definitely makes the drifting in FiveReborn more fun.
@CamxxCore hey , please tell me how can i enable the mod from inside the game after i had installed it?
Is it possible to add like 2 seconds of freeze score after finishing the drift to keep growing up the score if you want to steer another direction and keep growing up the drift, like in NFS Underground 2
on/off hotkey?
Good job, thanks.
@janiw1993 Create a folder called "scripts" in the main folder where GTA is installed
Place GTAV_DriftHUD.DLL in the folder
@CamxxCore I love this mod can U make A color changing and font ini the same as U have with the combat hud please?
Hi, in next update make turn off or turn on you mod. Thx
@CamxxCore
Hello, are you willing and would you have time to update this script?
ok so for the best experience change you ini to be like mine:
[Messages]
Message0 =dang
Message1 =neato
Message2 =wow
Message3 =oh wow
Message4 =oh geez
Message5 =oh shit
Message6 =oh god oh fuck
Got nearly 200 mods on the latest build and this is the only cause of crashing unfortunately. it's a shame but this mod will never be deleted from my game haha.
sadly does not work anymore, not even with that "n technique"
