OIV Package Installer is a lightweight alternative to the OpenIV Package Installer. Built on the CodeWalker core, it offers a clean, reliable interface for installing OIV modification packages for Grand Theft Auto V Legacy and Enhanced.

Requirements:
To ensure your mods folder works correctly, you must have the appropriate mods loader installed:
- GTA V Legacy: Requires OpenIV.asi
- GTA V Enhanced: Requires OpenRPF.asi
Important Note:
Please ensure the mod you are installing is compatible with your game version. Legacy mods cannot be installed on GTA V Enhanced, and Enhanced mods cannot be installed on GTA V Legacy. Installing incompatible mods will cause your game to crash.
How to Use:
1. Launch CodeWalker.OIVInstaller.exe.
2. Select your .oiv package file.
3. Select your GTA V game folder.
4. Click Install and wait for the process to complete.
5. Use the Manage Mods tab to uninstall mods if needed.
For Mod Creators:
The installer validates the <gameversion> tag in assembly.xml to ensure your mod is installed on the correct game version.
To enforce game version validation, add the <gameversion> tag to your assembly.xml file inside the <package> element.
Example for Enhanced Edition:

You're right about regular installers, but you're wrong about this tool. CodeWalker OIV Installer has a built-in 'Smart Uninstall' system, which does exactly what you thought was impossible: it tracks changes (including XML/text edits) and allows you to correctly roll them back through the mod manager. The program doesn't just blindly overwrite files; it manages the process, allowing you to revert everything.
@InTheSky before spitting out this, please read how the app handles reverting binary files, it's open sourced
and if you think something is wrong - feel free to contribute
@InTheSky im sorry but i think the only noob in here is you. When game gets updated - you have to replace update.rpf inside mods folder to original one, and then start installing .oiv mods into it, and only then you can safely remove mods with Manage Mods, just because how modding works in this game. x64.rpf archives usually never gets updated, but update.rpf and update2.rpf yes
If you dont update your mods folder after new patch, it will break no matter what
@InTheSky you tell me in a passive aggressive way that gta 5 users are dumb enough to not find gta5.exe in the folder. Also telling me about AAA studio is funny, since i develop one of the most technically advanced visual overhaul for GTA 5 (check my Patreon in profile), so yeah, i have much more experience in modding than you.

Since your arguments are absolute crap, you neither never checked my Patreon to find out my mod is free (requires free sub) nor you checked OIV Package Installer source code to summarize how it truly works
@safari4831 ClosedIV is open source, I use it all the time, but its development is not complete enough, it cannot replace files independently, and it must rely on other modding tools, such as lml support. After 3570 it is not available, I communicated with Chiheb to ask him to help adapt the version after 3570, and now it can also be used with lml

А софт реально классный, лично я раньше мучался с Код Волкером, но нужно же иметь мозг чтобы понять при обновлении игры, она ещё может поддерживать моды старых версий или же проще самому переставить моды на новую версию. Автор Лучший. Респект тебе бро

When installing a mods from Legacy to Enhanced that is more than 2GB your application, which is indeed awesome and very well-functioninbg, tells me however it is limited only to 2gb files. Can you please implement a way to bypass this limit in your next update? Thanks so much if possible.

@Pizzahut No need for RagePluginHook, just the lml file works fine, and through communication with one of them, I found out that it might be caused by some script they installed to scan memory
Uninstalling OIV files was something I didnt think we'd have to wait so long for.
